10 Ways To De-Stress If You Can't Afford A Massage

10 Ways To De-Stress If You Can't Afford A Massage

1. Take a hot bath.  Put a cup of bath salt (Epsom Salt is affordable and you could get it at any drug store.) Rub the soap bar all over your body.
The soap bar is not only intended to deodorize
your skin but also to massage your muscles with.

2. In the bath or on your bed or couch, laying on your back, put your feet up on the wall so your knees are slightly bent, for about 20 minutes.  The purpose of this is to elevate your legs higher than your heart.

3. While you are laying on your back, elevating your legs, put your arms up above your head, pointing @ the ceiling and do this for about 10 minutes.  The purpose of this is to elevate your arms higher than your heart.  Both of these legs and arms elevation techniques are great for improved circulation.

4. Take a slow brisk walk preferably outdoors but indoors could be good such as a mall.  Do this walk where there are less toxins such as vehicle fumes or cigarette smoke.

5. Drink a few glasses of water per day.  Take vitamins after a meal w/ one of the glasses of water.

6. Go for a swim or do some exercise.  Even stretching out on your living room floor can have major benefits for your circulation and heart.  It will prepare your muscles for the daily activities that you will encounter throughout the day.

7. Eat fresh fruit and vegetables.

8. Take 10 deep breaths, concentrating on inhaling for 5 seconds and exhaling for 5 seconds.  Be conscious of your posture during this exercise.  Sit up real tall while doing this so the air can penetrate your lungs.

9. Take up a new hobby or interest that you've been desiring to accomplish for a while but just haven't got to it.

10. And last, but not least, take a nap and shut off all of your phones/devices while you are napping.  Afterall, you need time for yourself, don't you?  You spend your day helping and serving people.  It's time for YOU.

Good luck, relax, breathe deep and tell yourself to calm down, that everything is going to be alright!

Although these foregoing 10 ways to de-stress are effective, the best way to de-stress, relax and unwind is to Get A Massage!
